Commission an Artist is very priveleged to represent Sabina Hannila, an outstanding photographer of people, concepts, fashion, and music bands. She has an extraordinary ability to capture life in an amazing way. I am sure you will agree that her photography is oustanding and can really make a difference to your project.

Sabina Hannila was born in Sweden but moved to England in September 2009 to begin her full-time BA Photography course at the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham. She has been taking photos since the age of 18 and enjoys & loves it both as a hobby and profession. Since then she has worked for various Swedish newspapers and magazines Expressen, VLT Span, and Kultur), and also gets commissioned by bands to take their promotional photos (Shallow Sense, Shooting Lead Rabbits, Edward Violet, Almighty Lions and others).

She always has personal projects that she's working on, alongside with university projects and commissioned work. She started the very popular "Project 365" on January 1st this year, and she posts a new photo on her personal blog everyday. She always collects ideas, and does a lot of TFP work with models, makeup artists and other creatives who want to expand their portfolio.

Set 1: Portraits

"My fascination for people and how we express ourselves has always been a big part of my life and work. I try to portray people in a way that reveals something about themselves, as well as something about me. So I try to direct my models as little as possible, and instead asks them to talk about something that's been on their mind, and capture the moment when they have stopped talking and falls into a deep intellectual conversation with themselves. But I do also tell them what I think would look good in a photo, and try to express myself
through them."

"When I write down ideas, I always write them as if they were a story; a myth, a saga, a fairytale.. I've always loved the mysteries of magic and fairytales, and a lot of my early work is based on it. I get a lot of great opportunitites to still my thirst for this fascination in university when we often get to choose the subjects of the projects we're given ourselves, and when I do personal TFP work."

"Fashion is something that I've just recently started to look into, and I really enjoy the artistic approach you can put into it with a good stylist, model and makeup artist. I try to make my fashion shoots as conceptual as possible, and I would love to work as an editorial photographer."
